FREE ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE
Every owner of a new AJS motorcycle has the opportunity to register for 12 months free Roadside Assistance via MCE insurance.

AJS have chosen to offer MCE Roadside Assistance free of charge to all purchasers of any new road registered AJS motorcycle or Quad, retailed from one of AJS's authorized dealers from 16th May 2007. The Roadside Assistance package provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week breakdown recovery assistance, for any mechanical fault that immobilizes the vehicle 1 mile or more from home.

IMPORTANT: To benefit from this service, you the new owner, must call MCE on 0870 010 1125 to activate the cover a minimum of 48 hours before you take delivery of your new AJS motorcycle. This will ensure you are covered from the moment you leave the dealer's premises.
Failure to activate the policy in advance of taking delivery will invalidate any cover and leave you without this valuable benefit.
Insurance with MCE is not necessary to activate your Roadside Assistance policy.

What do I get for FREE?
AJS have chosen to provide Roadside Assistance FREE of charge to purchasers of any new AJS motorcycle retailed from AJS's authorised dealer network from 1st May 2007. The Roadside Assistance package provides 24 hours a day, 7 days a week breakdown recovery assistance for any mechanical fault that immobilizes the vehicle over 1 mile from home. The recovery is limited to a radius of 15 miles from the breakdown location.

In the unlikely event an owner needing to use the Roadside Assistance cover, one phone call will put them in touch with a specialist advisor who will despatch a recognised repairer who will attempt a roadside repair and if this is not possible, recover the vehicle to the nearest MCE approved repairer.
(Please be aware that under the terms of this free policy you cannot be recovered to a destination of your choice or your AJS dealer)

When you register for the free Roadside Assistance you may be offered the opportunity to upgrade to either the NATIONAL policy or the HOME START policy which may satisfy your needs better. Please see below the main benefits of the policies.

Policy name: NATIONAL
Main Features
Same as the FREE policy but also includes:
1) No limit to recovery distance in the UK.
2) Choice of final destination. This can be your home, an AJS dealer or final destination.

Policy name: HOME START
Main Features
Same as the NATIONAL policy but also includes:
1) Home start. Where a repairer can be called upon to repair or recover an immobilized vehicle at your home location.

To upgrade to a higher level of cover you will be asked to pay the difference in cost between the FREE policy and the upgraded policy. Please ask MCE for more information about this.
