WHAT IS A SAFETY RECALL?

A safety recall is a repair or replacement of a component on your motorcycle that is considered safety related. In the case of a safety recall, owners will be contacted by way of postal letter, if your address is registered to the motorcycle in our records. You will be asked to take your motorcycle to your local or preferred dealer, where the work will be carried out free of charge. This search function relates to recall campaigns published from 1st January 2001 to date.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE A SAFETY RECALL?

We require your co-operation to ensure your motorcycle is modified without delay, to ensure your maximum safety. Please contact your local or preferred AJS Dealer and book your motorcycle in for the recall work to be actioned immediately. To find your AJS Dealer, please use our Find Dealer search.

WHAT IS A VIN?

Every motorcycle has a unique Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), which is always 17 alphanumeric digits. This is sometimes known as the chassis number. You can find the VIN in your logbook and stamped on the frame of your motorcycle, usually on the headstock.

We are aware that there are two issues that need addressing urgently.

Cadwell 125, Tempest Roadster 125 and Tempest Scrambler only:
1) The headlight dipped beam pattern may be high and to the right. This represents a risk of oncoming drivers being dazzled.

Cadwell 125 only:
1) The rear reflector needs re positioning. This condition poses a risk that the existing reflector may not be visible in some situations.
